Sài Gòn Experience

Whether you call it Sài Gòn or Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, we built this differently.

Each experience is shaped by someone who lives here,
who grew up here,
who carries their own relationship with this place.

Their stories,
their routes,
their version of the city.

Most people visit this city and leave knowing where they went, but not who they met.

Meet The Team

Not guides. Hosts.

You won’t be led by someone reciting facts.

You’ll spend time with someone who:

  • Has their own favorite street corner

  • Carries memories tied to this city

  • Sees it in their own way

Meet one of our Saigon Hosts

Every experience begins with a person.

Someone who lives here, who has grown with this city, and carries their own relationship with it.

We believe culture isn’t something you’re told.
It’s something you feel through the people who share it.

This isn’t about food explained.
It’s about what is shared, what is familiar, and what brings people back.

  • "I really love what the Third Culture team are doing. I got to see parts of Saigon that I would not have with my family who I was visiting with. I think it was really significant to me having Vietnamese Americans, who have found a home in Vietnam, to speak with and get their thoughts on history, life, and culture. Additionally, the Vietnamese guides were also wonderful, knowledgeable, and so open to sharing their insights, which added additional depth to the tour. The good food and getting to know the local spots was a bonus!"

    - Stephanie V. (The Historian)

  • "Great selection of places! It's funny that I've been around many of those places before but it reasonable to expect someone who might have travelled often to HCMC to be around. I appreciated being around those areas with our tour group! It was like going in with a different perspective."

    - Elaine H. (The Historian)

  • "The crew at Third Culture Vietnam took us on an intimate and memorable food tour around Saigon. The guides ate with us and taught us a lot about the city and the country. Every dish I tried was one I haven't seen on a menu abroad before and tasted amazing. They really made me feel like a local for a day."

    - Igor A. (The Foodie)

  • "The food was awesome! Thank you for taking me to your favorite spots!"

    - Phuong M. (The Historian)

  • "I had such a blast on this food tour! Not only was every dish absolutely delicious but I also learned so much about Vietnam's history and culture through our guide's amazing stories. It felt like a perfect mix of feasting and deep conversations. Highly recommend if you love great food and even better vibes!"

    - Carin G. (The Foodie)

  • "I really liked the tour because we went to places I probably would not have seen if I explored the city on my own. I learned a lot about the cultural history of Saigon and each spot had a distinct purpose that added to that experience."

    - Kevin G. (The Historian)

  • "I can totally recommend this tour! Booking it was quite easy, answers came fast and they adjusted the itinerary right to my dietary needs (vegetarian/mostly vegan). The guide was knowledgeable, super friendly and showed me not only around HCMC's food spots which are mainly targeted by locals but also by some historical sights and gave me information about the districts. This food tour made me fall in love with my Vietnamese heritage (2nd Gen but born and raised in Germany) even more! It introduced me to dishes that I didn't know before (chuối nếp nướng is my new favourite dessert!). All in all, big thumbs up! For the next time when I'm in Vietnam, I will definitely book a tour again!"

    - Nghia N. (The Foodie)

  • "I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this spiritual tour completely exceeded anything I imagined. Visiting the religious sites in Saigon, temples, pagodas, and hidden shrines, gave me a deeper appreciation for the spiritual layers of the city. The vegetarian lunch was one of the best meals I had in Vietnam. Simple, flavorful, and nourishing. But the real highlight? Ending the day with a sound bath. It was calming, emotional, and deeply restorative. This wasn’t just about sightseeing. It felt like a journey inward. I left feeling more connected to the city, to its people, and to myself. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something meaningful and different."

    - Judy N. (The Spiritual Seeker)

  • "Minh was amazing and so were the other tour guides. They were polite and great at customer service. Our group enjoyed the variety of food and local feel and authenticity. Completely satisfied!"

    - Mary A. (The Foodie)
