About the Role:

Third Culture Vietnam is seeking a Creative Director to lead our storytelling, visual direction, and content production across tours, documentaries, and cultural series.

This role is for a storyteller first, someone who understands how to translate identity, heritage, and lived experience into compelling visual narratives. Our work goes beyond content for clicks. We create stories that reconnect people to culture, place, and community.

As Creative Director, you will help shape our long-form documentary projects, develop original content series, and oversee filming and editing. You’ll also play a key role in building and leading a production team as we grow.

This position requires creative vision, hands-on production skills, and the ability to guide others, balancing execution today with leadership for tomorrow.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creative vision and storytelling direction across all Third Culture Vietnam content

  • Develop original content series, documentaries, and recurring storytelling formats

  • Plan, film, and edit short-form and long-form video content

  • Oversee post-production, including editing, pacing, sound, and visual tone

  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, and tour teams to align stories with mission

  • Build, mentor, and manage a growing production team (editors, videographers, interns)

  • Establish creative workflows, standards, and storytelling guidelines

  • Provide feedback and creative direction to ensure consistency and quality

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Are a strong visual storyteller with a clear creative point of view

  • Have hands-on experience with filming, directing, and editing

  • Are comfortable leading projects from concept to final delivery

  • Understand emotional pacing, narrative structure, and cultural nuance

  • Are excited to build and mentor a creative team over time

  • Thrive in a start-up environment where roles evolve and ideas grow

  • Care deeply about culture, heritage, and community-driven storytelling

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience producing documentary or long-form narrative content

  • Fluency in both Vietnamese and English

  • Experience working with diaspora stories or cross-cultural audiences

  • Background in building or managing creative or production teams

Our tours go beyond sightseeing. They’re designed for diasporic travelers, curious explorers, and those looking to rediscover Vietnam through history, food, and personal stories. Core Responsibilities:
