The Space to Become is a two part guided workshop exploring Vietnamese identity, belonging, and self.
Across two evenings, we’ll move from looking inward to connecting with one another. Part One explores the experiences that have shaped who we are, including family, culture, language, migration, adoption, expectations, and belonging. Part Two brings those reflections into community through shared stories, listening, writing, and meaningful connection.
Through reflection, conversation, and guided exercises, we’ll make room for the different versions of ourselves we have carried and the people we are still becoming.
There is no single way to be Vietnamese, and there is no expectation to have your identity figured out. Whether you were born and raised in Vietnam, grew up overseas, returned later in life, are of mixed heritage, or were adopted, you are welcome here.
There is space for all of it. There is space for all of you.
