Our Story
There Is More Than One Way to Belong
For many of us, Vietnam exists in more than one place.
It lives in family stories, inherited traditions, familiar flavours, half-remembered words, and questions we may not have learned how to ask. It can feel deeply familiar and distant at the same time.
Third Culture Vietnam was created for that space in between.
Whether you are reconnecting with your heritage, experiencing Vietnam for the first time, or seeking a more personal relationship with its culture, people, and places, there is a place for you here.
Where It Began
Third Culture Vietnam began in late 2024 with a desire to create a more thoughtful way of experiencing Vietnam.
We saw that people wanted more than sightseeing. They were looking for cultural context, personal connection, and opportunities to understand Vietnam as it is lived today.
What began with travel soon became something bigger than we imagined.
Experiences led to conversations. Conversations became gatherings. Participants became friends, collaborators, contributors, and hosts.
Third Culture Vietnam was becoming more than a travel company.
It was becoming a cultural community.
What “Third Culture” Means to Us
Third culture is the space where different parts of our identity meet, where inherited culture and lived experience exist together.
It reminds us that there is no single way to be Vietnamese and no correct amount of language, knowledge, or tradition required to belong.
Identity is not a test we pass.
It is something we continue to understand and shape throughout our lives.
